The simple ingredients-Warm Chai Tea Smoothie

I have been sticking with no caffeine since my last group detox back in September so I went with Pukka Vanilla Chai. I like to add some extra cinnamon and a little more vanilla to up the flavor a bit. This smoothie was definitely sweet enough for me, but if you want to make it into more of a dessert you could also add a date or a little maple syrup. Soaking the chia seeds and cashews makes the smoothie extra creamy, but you can skip that step if you don’t have time.

This is a dairy-free smoothie recipe. It is also gluten-free, grain-free, Paleo, and vegan.

The goods on the ingredients:
  • cashews-Low in sugar and include fiber, healthy fats, and plant-based protein. They’re also a good source of copper andย magnesium, nutrients important for energy production, brain function, immunity, and bone health.
  • chia seeds-A good source of omega 3 fatty acids, protein, antioxidants, and fiber.
  • banana-Bananas contain fiber, antioxidants, and a good amount of potassium.
  • protein powder-I used this vanilla protein powder. Protein serves as a building block for muscles, bones, skin, and cartilage. They are also building blocks for enzymes, hormones, and vitamins and help provide you with satiety (feeling full).
  • cinnamon-A great tool for stabilizing blood sugar.
  • cauliflower-Rich in fiber and antioxidants (Vitamin C and sulforaphane).
